Have you ever dreamed of quitting your job? Most of us have. I wanted to give you a few tips on how to quit your job comfortably so you can work on living your dreams than living a nightmare.
Quitting Your Job
Determine what you want to do after quitting your job
Do you want to explore the beaches of the world?
Do you want to go into ministry full time?
What is your dream life like?
Once you determine this, it will be your motivation on meeting your goal.
Figure out how much money is needed
How much money do you need to quit your job? Usually, the amount of money that is needed is the amount of your current salary. To be prepared, I suggest having at least 6 to 12 months of your monthly salary saved.
Determine a deadline
To quit your job, you should have an idea on when you want to be out of the door. You should have a date where you will be walking out of the workplace for the very last time.
- Do you want to quit your job in a year?
- Do you want to leave within 90 days?
Whatever fits your ability, set the goal! To hold yourself accountable, you should write your resignation letter with your exact “job end” date. This will set your mind on accomplishing this goal.
Determine the vehicle that is needed to quit your job
To quit your job comfortably and effectively, you need another source of income that is going to sustain you. I suggest something that will provide you with residual income. Here are a few suggestions:
- Start a traditional “brick and mortar” business.
- Figure out a few tips on making money online. (Along with this, you could earn money on your blog just like I do HERE)
- Find a great investment portfolio income.
These tips on quitting your job is just the tip of the iceberg. If you are looking for a tool or a vehicle that will help you quit your job, Click here to learn more about our team and specialized training!
