I got in from church and I saw something very interesting on my Facebook newsfeed. It brought me to talk about financial stewardship in the following video.
Financial Stewardship: What You Can Learn From Allen Iverson and Jamal Mashburn
Just in case you can’t read the words. Here’s what it says:
Jamal Mashburn earned $75 million during his NBA career, prior to having his career cut short due to knee injuries.
Allen Iverson earned more than $200 million during his career, prior to having his career cut short due to his nasty attitude, along with his lack of respect for authority.
Jamal Mashburn now owns 34 Outback Steakhouse restaurants, 37 Papa John’s restaurants, two car dealerships, and a real estate company in the state of Kentucky.
Allen Iverson is broke, and owes $30 million in debt.
“The amount of money that you have has got nothing to do with what you earn. People earning a million dollars per year can have no money. People earning $35,000 per year can be quite well off. It’s not what you EARN. It’s what you SPEND.”-Paul Clitheroe
Now that you’ve read it.
My question is, what are you doing with your money?
Are you being a great financial steward over your money?
Are you making it grow?
I choose to make my money grow.
How about you?
