You’re Not Branding Yourself

You’re busy talking about your products, your company and service more than putting yourself out there. The reason why customers do business with a person is not because of the product, it’s because of the person.

You must ask yourself a few questions when branding yourself:

  • What can I do for my customers that no one else can do?
  • How am I different?
  • What are my strengths and weaknesses?

You’re Not Consistent With Blogging

I have seen many people make this mistake. When I first entered this industry, I was taught to blog daily. I didn’t understand why at first until I actually did it. The purpose of blogging daily was to develop a habit and develop the skill of blogging.

I’m not saying that you must blog daily. What I am saying is, you must be consistent at blogging. You could do a post once a week, twice a week, or even 3-5 times a week. The key is that it must be consistent.

Being consistent is what keeps YOU on the mind of your readers.

You Don’t Have A Target Audience

You don’t have a pocket of people your are talking to. I have heard the phrase, “If you are marketing to everybody, you are marketing to nobody” from the most successful people in my industry.

You must decided on who you want to market to!

Here are a few things to consider when identifying your target audience:

  • What’s their age?
  • Where do they hang out at?
  • What do they like to do?
  • What do they want the most?

These are a few core questions to ask when identifying your target audience. Once you get specific, then you can implement a strategy to get your blog in front of them.

You’re Not Building An Email List With Your Blog

I wish I knew this when I first came online. Your list is your biggest money maker in your online business.

The purpose of having a list is to give them value and allow them to get to know you. Once they get to know you and think that you are awesome, they will think “I like this person. I trust this person. I want to buy from this person.” Sounds great right?

Also your list can go with you wherever you go if you decide to sell a different product, service, or business opportunity.

You’re Not Shooting Video

This is the biggest kicker! You must shoot video and get that video in front of your target audience. Video is very powerful nowadays because it allows you to connect with your audience.

Shooting video allows you audience to “feel” you. Your audience gets to see you and hear your voice. Shoot, there’s probably a video in this post of me explaining the same content you’re reading right now!
